Volkswagen Cross Coupe, New VW SUV Concept Car Show off at Tokyo Motor Show
Volkswagen showed off a new concept SUV at the Tokyo Motor Show 2011. VW Cross Coupe is an SUV that uses a modular architecture matrix. VW Cross Coupe uses an engine with All Wheel Drive with a hybrid power two electric motors, as well as blends with gasoline turbocharged engine with direct injection fuel system.


VW Cross Coupe has a maximum power output of 262 hp with gasoline engine and an electric motor in the front wheel. Being the second electric motor in the rear has a power output of 114 hp. Volkswagen uses a lithium-ion batteries are placed at the bottom of the car. This design allows the car has a low center of gravity and adds a lot of room in the interior.
SUV concept is able to travel up to 25 miles by using the electric motor. To penetrate the car acceleration 0-62 miles / h around seven seconds.
